Francisco
Farrugia, the current owner of this 2580 square foot house located in the city
center, said that he bought it in 2002.
Francisco
says that he wanted to convert this house into a cultural center, but his plan
never really turned into a reality.
However,
this Argentine businessman did not say what price he has kept for this house.
Over
the years, a large number of people have come to see this building.
Cuban Revolution
Famous
international leaders who have visited here include former Uruguay President
José Pepe Mujisa and children of Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro.
But
perhaps the most famous of the people who come here is Alberto Granados who
traveled in South America on a motorcycle with Che Guevara in the fifties.
Doctor
Alberto was a young man by profession and a fellow of Che Guevara.
Che
Guevara was born in 1928 in an accountable middle class family, but when he saw
poverty and hunger in South America, he took the path of revolution.
He
played an important role during the Cuban revolution. Fulgensico Batista's
dictatorship was overthrown in this revolution.

After
this, Che Guevara expressed the desire to take the scope of the revolution to
the whole of South America and developing countries.
Che
Guevara moved from Cuba to Bolivia where he led rebel forces fighting against
President René Barrientos Ortuno.
Murder of che Guevara
With
the help of America, Bolivia's army captured Che Guevara and the remaining
fighters.
On
October 9, 1967, Che Guevara was murdered in a village called La Higuera and
his body was buried in a secret place.
In
1997, the secret place was found after which his last remains were brought to
Cuba and he was cremated again.
People's
opinion is still divided about what the revolutionary Che Guevara did during
his lifetime.
His
supporters see him as an example of dedication and self-sacrifice, while his
critics say that Che Guevara was a cruel and barbaric person.
