This

After first Premier League trophy after
Liverpool wait long 30 years of the most famous football clubs in England were
bound to get a chance to take in your hand. Liverpool's wait for the trophy
ended after the 37th match of the season against Chelsea Football Club at their
home ground Anfield late on Wednesday and captain Jordan Henderson lifted the
Premier League trophy for the club for the first time. Earlier Liverpool beat
Chelsea 5–3 in a thrilling match to register their 31st win of the season.
Liverpool
took on the Premier League, one of Europe's biggest domestic leagues, with the
defeat of last season's champions Manchester City against Chelsea on 26 June
almost a month ago. However, the club had to wait to get their hands on the
trophy. The match played at Enfield on Friday was the last match of the team at
home ground in the season.
First league title since 1990, celebrating without fans
Liverpool
last won England's top league title in 1990. At that time it was known as
League-1. After the Premier League debut in 1992, Liverpool's team missed out
on the title on different occasions, but the German coach Yurgen Klopp's team
finally ended the club and fans' wait this season after 30 years.
Although
the Liverpool team and the fans were unable to celebrate it with each other due
to the blockage caused by the Corona virus and then the matches being played
without fans, there was a spectacular presentation ceremony at Anfield while
outside the stadium and around the world. Fans celebrated this victory in their
homes.
This
is the 19th league title in Liverpool's history. England have only Manchester
United (20) ahead of them. This is Liverpool's fourth title in the last 13
months. The team won the Champions League title in June 2019 and then also won
the European Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Liverpool started strongly in first half
Liverpool
made a strong start to the match and took a 3–0 lead until the 43rd minute of
the first half. The first goal for the team was scored by midfielder Naby Keita
in the 23rd minute. Just 15 minutes later, right-back Trent Alexander Arnold
scored a direct goal from a free kick for the third time in the season and for
the second time against Chelsea, while in the 43rd minute Georgino Wynaldum
gave the team a 3–0 lead.
However,
Chelsea bounced back in the last minute of injury time with the goal of Olivier
Jiru in the first half. Liverpool again took the lead in the second half. In
the 55th minute, Roberto Ferminio forced a header on Trent's cross and scored
Liverpool's fourth goal.

However
after this Chelsea made a good comeback and scored 2 more goals. Christian
Pulisic, who came as a Substitute, easily beaten the Liverpool defense and on
the 61st minute he got a pass from Tammy Abraham and gave the team hope of
returning. 12 minutes later, Pulisic (73rd minute) scored an excellent goal to
make the score 4-3.
However,
Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, who came off the bench for Liverpool in the 84th
minute, decided the team's victory by scoring a perfect pass from left-back
Andrew Robertson. With this victory, Liverpool, who have already become
champions, have reached 96 points. The last match of the season will be played
on 26 July.
