NewJeans records sales of over 1 million copies on the first day of its 2nd mini-album named -Get Up ! Achieved million seller
NewJeans' 2nd EP "Get Up" sold more than 1 million
copies on the first day of its release, achieving a million seller.
According to their label, ADOR, on the 22nd, NewJeans' 2nd
EP "Get Up" topped the daily chart with 1,194,623 copies sold based
on the previous day's hunt chart. Following NewJeans' 1st EP "New
Jeans" and "OMG", it became the third consecutive
million-seller.
NewJeans' overwhelming presence was also proved in the music
charts. While 'Super Shy', which was pre-released on the 7th, is firmly
maintaining the number one spot on major Korean music charts such as Melon,
Genie, and FLO, Bugs and NAVER VIBE are gaining double popularity with 'ETA'
newly rising to the top.
In addition, "Cool With You", "New
Jeans", "ASAP", and "Get Up" all entered the top ranks
of each chart, and each of the six songs is attracting attention. Considering
that the previous albums such as ``Hybe Boy'', ``Attention'', ``Ditto'', and ``OMG''
are still very popular, New Jeans' chart share is high.
NewJeans continues to perform well on global charts.
"Super Shy" was ranked 61st on the UK's official single chart
"Top 100" announced on the 21st (local time), successfully entering
the chart for two consecutive weeks. Prior to this, the song entered the chart
at No. 59 and set a new record for New Jeans' own chart.
On the US Spotify Global 'Top Songs of the Week' (July 20),
'Super Shy' ranked 12th, up 10 from the previous week, and ranked 15th on the
'Top Songs of the Week' in the US, up 17.
In addition, the 2nd EP 'Get Up' topped the Apple Music 'Top
Album' chart in 17 countries and the iTunes 'Top Album' chart in 9 countries
and regions as of 10 am on the 22nd. It is expected that the charts will
continue to rise in the future as it has been well received in the mainstream
pop markets of the United Kingdom and the United States.
Foreign media are also paying attention. On the 21st (local
time), the famous British music magazine "NME" posted a review
article of the 2nd EP "Get Up" and gave it a perfect score of 5
stars.
