The Haunted Shadow of Devgarh – Scary story to tell in the dark
Vijay, Raj, and Ishant were three college students who were
fascinated by the paranormal. They had read about the haunted village of
Devgarh, and they decided to investigate.
The village was located in a remote area of India, and it was
said to be haunted by the ghost of a woman who had been murdered there many
years ago. The villagers were afraid to go near the village at night, and they
claimed to have seen the ghost walking the streets, bathing in the pond, and
singing in the park.
The three friends arrived in Devgarh at dusk, and they were
immediately struck by the eerie atmosphere. The village was deserted, and the
only sound was the howling of the wind. They checked into an abandoned house
that was being used by a paranormal researcher, and they began to explore the
village.
At nightfall, they heard footsteps following them, but they
could see nothing. They walked to the pond, and they saw the white shadow of a
woman sitting on the stairs. As they watched, the water in the pond began to
ripple, as if someone was bathing.
Raj shone his flashlight on the shadow, and he saw that it was
the ghost of a young woman. She was beautiful, but her eyes were filled with
sadness. She reached out to Raj, and he felt a cold hand on his face. He
screamed and fell to the ground.
The other two friends rushed to Raj's aid, and they helped him
to his feet. The ghost was gone, and the only sound was the wind. The three
friends were shaken, but they were determined to find out more about the ghost.
The three friends sat down on a bench near the pond, trying to
process what had just happened. Raj was still shaken, and he kept rubbing his
face where the ghost had touched him.
"What do you think that was?" Vijay asked.
"I don't know," Raj said. "But it was definitely
a ghost."
"I've never seen anything like it," Ishant said.
"It was so...sad."
The three friends sat in silence for a few minutes, each lost in
their own thoughts. Finally, Vijay spoke up.
"We need to find out more about this ghost," he said.
"We need to know why she's haunting this village."
"I agree," Raj said. "But how are we going to do
that?"
"I don't know," Vijay said. "But we need to start
by talking to the villagers."
The three friends decided to go to the village center and see if
they could talk to anyone who knew anything about the ghost. As they walked
through the village, they could see that it was even more deserted than it had
been at dusk. The only people they saw were a few old men sitting on the steps
of the temple.
The friends approached the old men and introduced themselves.
They told the old men about the ghost they had seen, and they asked if the old
men knew anything about it.
The old men looked at each other, and then one of them spoke.
"Yes, we know about the ghost," he said. "She is the
ghost of a young woman named Priya. She was murdered many years ago, and her
killer was never caught."
"Why is she haunting the village?" Vijay asked.
"She is looking for justice," the old man said.
"She wants her killer to be brought to justice."
"We want to help her," Raj said. "We want to find
her killer and bring him to justice."
The old men nodded.
"We will help you," they said. "We know who
killed Priya, and we will help you find him."
The three friends thanked the old men, and they set off to find
Priya's killer. They knew that it would be a difficult task, but they were
determined to help Priya find justice.
The three friends followed the old men to a small house on the
outskirts of the village. The house was dark and deserted, but the old men told
the friends that this was where Priya had been murdered.
The friends went inside the house, and they could feel the
presence of Priya's ghost. They could sense her sadness and her anger. They
knew that they were in the right place.
The old men told the friends that Priya had been killed by a man
named Ram. Ram was a wealthy merchant, and he had been having an affair with
Priya. When Priya found out that Ram was married, she broke off the affair. Ram
was angry, and he killed Priya in a fit of rage.
The friends knew that they had to find Ram and bring him to
justice. They searched the village, but they couldn't find him. They were about
to give up when they heard a noise coming from the abandoned house.
They went back to the house, and they saw a man standing in the
doorway. The man was tall and thin, with a long beard. He looked at the friends
with cold eyes.
"Who are you?" Vijay asked.
"I am Ram," the man said. "And I am the one who
killed Priya."
The friends were shocked. They had finally found Priya's killer.
"Why did you kill her?" Raj asked.
"She betrayed me," Ram said. "She broke off our
affair, and she told my wife about it."
"That doesn't give you the right to kill her," Vijay
said.
"It does to me," Ram said. "She deserved to
die."
The friends were angry, but they knew that they had to stay
calm. They needed to find a way to bring Ram to justice.
"We're going to bring you to the police," Vijay said.
"You can try," Ram said. "But you'll never find
me."
And with that, Ram turned and walked away. The friends watched
him go, and they knew that they had a long and difficult road ahead of them.
The three friends were determined to bring Ram to justice, but
they knew that it would be a difficult task. Ram was a powerful man, and he had
many resources at his disposal.
The friends decided to start by talking to the police. They told
the police about Priya's murder, and they told them that they knew who the
killer was. However, the police were not interested in their story. They told
the friends that there was no evidence to support their claims, and they
refused to investigate.
The friends were not discouraged. They knew that they had to
find a way to prove that Ram was the killer. They decided to do some
investigating on their own.
They talked to the villagers, and they gathered evidence that
linked Ram to Priya's murder. They also found a witness who had seen Ram
arguing with Priya on the night of her murder.
With this evidence, the friends went back to the police. This
time, the police were more interested in their story. They opened an
investigation, and they eventually arrested Ram for murder.
Ram was put on trial, and the friends testified against him. The
jury found Ram guilty, and he was sentenced to life in prison.
The friends were relieved that Ram had been brought to justice,
but they knew that Priya's story was not over. They had helped her find
justice, but her spirit was still haunting the village.
The friends decided to stay in the village and help Priya's
spirit to move on. They talked to her, they sang to her, and they prayed for
her.
After a few weeks, Priya's spirit finally began to fade. She
thanked the friends for their help, and she told them that she was finally at
peace.
The friends were sad to see Priya go, but they knew that she was
finally in a better place. They had helped her find justice, and they had
helped her to find peace.
The friends left the village, but they never forgot their
experience. They had learned that even the most haunted places can be filled
with hope.
